Your mission
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Director Accounting (all genders) to lead our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's accounting functions.
This includes:
- Managing and overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions of the company
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP/IFRS
- Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Working closely with the Financial Planning and Analysis team so they can prepare and manage budgets and forecasts, including cash flow projections and generate financial reports for senior management
- Working closely with the Tax team so they can oversee the company's tax compliance, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial professionals
What you bring on the table
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with ERP systems as well as with their implementation
- Experience managing budgets and financial forecasts
- Familiarity with tax compliance requirements in an international environment
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team
- Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment is a plus
