Your mission
As the Senior Configuration Manager (all genders) you will be responsible for the development and control of all data configuration activities of Rivada Space Networks, covering all aspects of the project lifecycle and operational system.

The main objective is to manage Satellite and System Design, Manufacturing and Operations Information, and the configuration of any changes. The development of a Configuration and Data Management (CADM) system is applied to the data for two satellite constellations with a total of 600 satellites, the ground segment, the user segment and related sub-systems. You will define configuration and change processes and help establish appropriate software tools. You will also provide guidance and support to a Configuration Manager and a Document Manager.

The Document Management System (DMS) should ensure timely and effective creation, collection, review, delivery, storage and archiving of program information. Thorough experience of Configuration Management and PLM/ERP tool implementation is required as this role will involve complex data arrangements with global subcontractors. 

This includes:
  • Supporting Internal teams by generating change requests and processing approvals through the Configuration Control Board. 

  • Ensuring control and traceability of the project baseline documentation. 

  • Maintaining the system level data consistency, identification of possible problems and non-conformances and identification of mitigation actions.  

  • Planning and leading the Data Management Process in a consistent and effective way through the various project phases.  

  • Building long-term working relationships with key global subcontractors.  

  • Working closely with internal and external technical groups. 

  • Provide training in CADM processes, software tools and export compliance(EAR/ITAR) as required 

  • Supporting the Rivada Management, the CPO and the Project Management Office.  

  • Contributing to major Design Reviews (PDRs, CDRs, FARs, etc.) 

What you bring on the table
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and managing Configuration/Change processes and software, ideally as part of a PLM/PDM tool 

  • Knowledge of ERP and CRM software is beneficial (in terms of managing company resources and services, customers and financials in an operational environment)

  • Demonstrated experience of at least 10+ years in Configuration or Change Management including a minimum of 5+ years in a key managerial or senior level position

  • Understanding and responding to complex situations by systematically and rigorously analysing issues

  • Establishing plans, defining priorities, and carrying them out efficiently and effectively

  • Strong skills in persuading, negotiating effectively and resolving conflicts

  • Ability to work flexibly in an environment with shifting priorities, timescales and processes

  • Understanding the importance of working with customer requirements and subcontractor processes

  • Excellent communications and inter-personal skills (written and verbal)

  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills

  • Fluency in English

  • Willingness to travel

Rivada is working with Terran Orbital to manufacture and SpaceX to launch our satellites. The deployment starts in 2025 with full-service launch in 2026.
