Your mission
The Senior Satellite Thermal Engineer (all genders) is responsible for the ensuring the overall Satellite Thermal system provides the necessary performance required to achieve System needs. You shall act as part of the Customer team, keeping oversight on the Space Segment Prime Contractor(s). 

This includes: 
  • Space Segment procurement activities focusing on Satellite Thermal design and general Satellite design, including review of Satellite documentation
  • Definition and management of related Space Segment and Satellite Requirements
  • Technical support to the System Level Engineering Team
  • Review of Satellite verification approach and support to system level tests
  • Support to related Satellite technical topics
  • Visits and review of Satellite Prime activities   
  • Review and participation in Satellite test activities
What you bring on the table
  • You should have a minimum experience of 10 years in the field of Satellite System development in Phase CD, focusing on Satellite Thermal System Engineering and Thermal Sub-systems
  • Experience in related System Engineering activities such as requirements and interface management
  • Knowledge of Satellite Thermal Engineering and verification activities
  • Good verbal and written skills.  Good team working is essential
  • Able to guide and control Satellite Prime
  • Willingness to work flexibly and as necessary to achieve the goals on time

Rivada Space Networks is deploying the first true “OuterNET™”: a global low latency point-to-point connectivity network of LEO satellites. By connecting our satellites with lasers, we will provide resellers and B2B customers with the ability to securely connect any two points on the globe with low latency and high bandwidth. The constellations, comprising 600 low-earth-orbit communications satellites, will represent a fundamental change in the availability of secure, global, end-to-end enterprise-grade connectivity for Telecom, Enterprise, Maritime, Energy and Government Services markets. Rivada Space Networks is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rivada Networks, Inc. 

Rivada is working with Terran Orbital to manufacture and SpaceX to launch our satellites. The deployment starts in 2025 with full-service launch in 2026.
