Your mission

As System Security Officer (SSO) (all genders) you will be responsible for ensuring that an appropriate operational security posture is maintained for our company’s system and underlying network infrastructure. As such, you will work in close collaboration with the various System Owners, as well as with the Security Architects. You will report to the company’s Director of Security / CISO.

This includes:

Ensuring the OuterNet system design and subsequent operations are compliant to the relevant security regulations, as well as to Rivada Space Network’s Cyber Security Policy and the ISMS
Assisting and supporting lawful requests from relevant authorities, if applicable
Overseeing the day-to-day security operations of Rivada Space Networks OuterNet system, including operational, validation and development environments
Acting as chairperson of the System Security Forum and actively contributing to the Security Committee
Assisting the CISO in the maintenance of the information security policy and the ISMS

What you bring on the table

Successfully completed a degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Telecommunications or similar
5+ years of experience in the field of Cyber Security, Information Security, IT security or similar
3+ years of experience as Information Security Officer or similar roles
General knowledge of widely accepted Cyber Security Frameworks, such as NIST CSF, ISO 27000+, etc
Experience with Zero-Trust Architecture is mandatory
Experience with security on Microsoft Azure, AWS and other cloud providers is a plus
Excellent written and spoken English.

Rivada Space Networks is deploying the first true “OuterNET™”: a global low latency point-to-point connectivity network of LEO satellites. By connecting our satellites with lasers, we will provide resellers and B2B customers with the ability to securely connect any two points on the globe with low latency and high bandwidth. The constellations, comprising 600 low-earth-orbit communications satellites, will represent a fundamental change in the availability of secure, global, end-to-end enterprise-grade connectivity for Telecom, Enterprise, Maritime, Energy and Government Services markets. Rivada Space Networks is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rivada Networks, Inc. 

Rivada is working with Terran Orbital to manufacture and SpaceX to launch our satellites. The deployment starts in 2025 with full-service launch in 2026.
