Your mission
The Precursor Mission Management is considered as essential early Verification and Validation step of the main Rivada system and considered of importance for the RSN Program success. While the Precursor Mission will be operated by our Space Segment contractor, the precursor Network Control Center and respective required User and Ground Segment elements are required to plug-in into the precursor system to run this mission as a testbed. 
 
This Includes: 
  • Lead the Precursor Mission throughout the program life to ensure business, customer, program, and supplier success 
  • Leading and participating in technical discussions with customers and suppliers to ensure mission success 
  • Establish and maintain Precursor Mission goals 
  • Support the procurement of a System able to perform the planned Mission 
  • Establish and maintain the overall Precursor Mission planning and scheduling 
  • Coordinate and maintain the Resource Planning during the operational phase 
  • Work in close coordination with the System Technical Coordinator, to plan and accomplish the Mission Experiments 
  • Lead the validation plan of the system prior to launch  
  • Engaging and supporting company tactical and strategic special projects 
  • Participate to the establishment of lifecycle Best Practices, Workstreams, Guidelines, and Processes  
  • Ensuring knowledge capture and knowledge transfer to the Main System 
  • Contribute to the Risk Register 

The Precursor Mission Manager reports directly to the IVV Program Manager. 
What you bring on the table
  • Successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in aerospace, telecommunication engineering 
  • 5-10+ years of Complex Space or Telecom project experience 
  • Working knowledge of cross discipline engineering fields including hands-on experience 
  • Very good communication skills 
  • Able to complete tasks per established schedule and demonstrate a pragmatic approach to solving problems. 
  • Able to travel and work in a very dynamic environment. 
  • Fluency in English
