Your mission
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of the backend systems for the operation of our satellite constellation, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and high-performing.
This includes:- Backend Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and high-performance cloud based backend systems that meet the business requirements.
- Architecture: Contribute to the architectural decisions and design discussions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the backend infrastructure.
- Performance optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the backend systems, optimizing code and database queries for efficiency.
- Code Review: Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing processes to ensure the reliability and quality of the backend systems.
- Technology Stack: Work with a variety of technologies, including but not limited to Java, Python, Cucumber and Gherkin, AWS, GraphQL, Apache Kafka, ELK Stack, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Technology Evaluation: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential to enhance the company's software solutions.
- Leadership: Mentor and guide junior members of the Backend team.
