Your mission
We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Manager to lead our dynamic and innovative team of QA/PA Engineers. You will play a critical role by setting up and continuously improving the QA/PA processes of the RSN company, addressing initially the needs of a large programme in development and subsequently setting up its operational PA/QA processes. A major area of focus will be the service quality aspects during the exploitation phase where the needs of the users and the quality of service provided will be given the highest attention. Further areas of focus will be the close follow-up of the Space Segment PA/QA and establishing the end-to-end Software QA function. 

This includes:
  • Establish, verify adherence and continuously improve all PA/QA processes at RSN company level. This responsibility encompasses the certification of RSN and its services against the selected QA standard(s) and the organisation of regular QA audits
  • Initially, support the RSN programme and system development by setting up, applying and continuously improving management processes like e.g. Risk/Opportunities Management, Review Process, Information/Documentation Management, Configuration Management, Integration & Test processes, Test Readiness/Test Review Boards, Non-Conformances and Anomalies Management, Incident Management, Waivers/Deviation Management and Reporting against Key Performance Indicators
  • Follow-up, in close coordination with the Industrial suppliers, all space segment, launch segment, ground segment and user segment PA/QA aspects and report any deviation. This activity may include setting up requirements for intermediate products and/or materials and establishing joint processes with the supplier for Configuration Management, Waivers and Deviations, Non-conformances and Anomalies management
  • Establish, verify adherence and continuously improve the system-wide SW PA processes to be applied during SW development, integration, testing, deployment and usage, using either classical or agile SW development methods, depending on the nature of the SW
  • Prepare for the operational exploitation of the RSN services by defining, implementing and continuously improving Service QA processes and reporting against key Service Quality Indicators
  • Lead or participate into Inspections of deliveries, audits and assessments of suppliers
  • Maintain an up-to-date status of all indicators and provide a regular report to the RSN management
  • Follow the development of the international, European and US quality standards with a focus on Communication Services provision, report on any trend and opportunity
  • Manage and continuously develop a Team of QA and PA engineers covering the needed areas of expertise. Perform regular Skills Assessment to ensure adequate skills coverage of the team
What you bring on the table
  • Proven experience of at least 10 to 15 years as responsible quality manager for a company or an organisation, ideally in the communications or space business
  • Experience in certifying a company quality system against well-established standards (e.g. ISO 9000)
  • Knowledge of space business (satellites and ground segment) as well as communication industry
  • Knowledge of SW, Data and services QA and of agile SW development method would be an advantage
  • Excellent organizational, team management and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Conscientious and responsible, with a keen eye for detail and a result-driven approach
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU

Rivada is working with Terran Orbital to manufacture and SpaceX to launch our satellites. The deployment starts in 2025 with full-service launch in 2026.
