Your mission

Working within the Space Segment Payload Technical team to ensure the Satellite Regenerative Payload functions, and related software, firmware are developed and qualified to meet Service requirements. You shall act as part of the Procurement team, keeping oversight on the Space Segment Prime Contractor(s).

This includes:

Space Segment procurement activities through Phase CDE
Focusing on the Onboard Processor functional, software and firmware aspects of the Telecommunication Payload
Following Regenerative Payload functional architecture, processing logic, development and validation, covering both Mission and Payload control
Support to the development and validation of the network and air interfaces, and Satellite Platform interfaces
Reviewing and giving guidance of all Payload Software and Firmware activities
Technical support to the System Level Engineering Team for related topics, such as: 
- System Validation and Operations
- Network and Payload control
Supporting the generation and maintenance of related Interface Control Documents
Reviewing of verification approach and support to system level tests
Support to related Satellite technical topics
Support to definition and execution of in-orbit tests and operations
Visiting and reviewing Satellite Prime activities

What you bring on the table

You should have a minimum experience of 10 years in the field of Satellite Systems development in Phase CD, focusing on Payloads functional and/or software design and development
Experience in related System Engineering activities such as requirements and interface management
In depth knowledge of Software and Firmware development for Satellite Payloads
Good verbal and written skills.  Good team working is essential
Able to guide and control Satellite Prime and Payload supplier 
Willingness to work flexibly and as necessary to achieve the goals on time
Excellent written and spoken English
