Who we are
Welcome to one of Europe’s most exciting New Space companies, creating the world's first fully connected mesh network in the sky. We are an international team of experts and engineers who have spent their careers expanding the boundaries and potential of space, now united in pursuit of a single vision. We value trust, open communication and collaboration to achieve the best results together.

Now we are looking for the best talents for our locations in Munich and Berlin to help us make our vision come true.
Your mission
As Network Simulator Product Owner, you are responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of the Network Simulator, a critical tool for validating and optimizing the Rivada Space Networks system. The Network Simulator will replicate the behavior of our satellite constellation and ground segment to ensure performance, resource optimization, and compliance with customer SLAs.

The Network Simulator Product Owner will work within the Ground Segment team, leading the procurement, development, and validation of a robust simulation environment. You will collaborate closely with system engineering, software development, and external suppliers to ensure the Network Simulator accurately reflects system requirements and supports Rivada’s network optimization and operational goals.

This includes:
  • Definition of Network Simulator requirements, capabilities, and interfaces to comply with system specifications and operational needs
  • Selection, management, and oversight of internal development or partners delivering the Network Simulator solution, ensuring quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery
  • Specification of simulation capabilities, including RF resource management, satellite network routing, beam management, and end-to-end service performance based on MEF CE 3.0
  • Define comprehensive simulation model for the constellation, including payload, ground segment, RF links, and user terminal behavior
  • Collaboration with the System Engineering and RF teams to ensure the simulator reflects real-world network performance, including dynamic resource management and beam hopping
  • Facilitation of simulator integration with existing tools, ensuring compatibility with system testing, validation, and optimization workflows
  • Validation and benchmarking of network performance, supporting the testing of operational scenarios, failure recovery mechanisms, and SLA compliance
  • Coordination with the SDN, OSS/BSS, and operational teams to ensure seamless alignment between the simulation outputs and live system requirements
  • Providing leadership to internal and external development teams to continuously enhance the simulator’s capabilities and features
  • Ensuring the Network Simulator serves as a reliable platform for performance validation, internal training, system demonstrations, and customer engagements
What you bring on the table
  • University degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical project management, product ownership, or system development roles involving simulation tools and complex system architectures
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in satellite or terrestrial network simulation, including RF resource management, network routing, and performance validation
  • Strong background in network protocols, SDN (Software Defined Networking), and simulation modeling of satellite or wireless communication systems
  • Knowledge of RF system design, payload operations, beam hopping, link budgets, and dynamic resource allocation
  • Proven experience in software development lifecycle management and cloud-based simulation platforms
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with strong skills in performance analysis and system optimization
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Proactive, self-starter attitude with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Why you should join us
We are an international team of space enthusiasts, following one great vision. We value equality in our work environment where different opinions, backgrounds and experiences are not only welcomed but also necessary to achieve the best result collaboratively.

This permanent position was created recently and thus offers a lot of creative freedom. Our approach is to create a modern work environment with hybrid working model. We offer an attractive salary depending on your experience.

Rivada Space Networks is an equal opportunity employer with the approach to create a diverse and inclusive working environment. We therefore welcome applications from all qualified candidates irrespective of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, disability, or other individual characteristics.
About us

Rivada Space Networks is deploying the Outernet: the first unified global communications network. Rivada's global low-latency point-to-point network of 600 low earth orbit (LEO) satellites is a unique next-generation constellation combining inter-satellite laser links with advanced onboard processing and routing to create a ubiquitous optical mesh network in space. This "orbital network," in which data stays in space from origin to destination, creates an ultra-secure satellite network with pole-to-pole coverage, offering end-to-end latencies much lower than terrestrial fiber over long distances. And by routing traffic on a physically separated network, it provides a layer of defense for any organization that needs to securely share data between widely distributed sites.
