Your mission
As a Senior Engineer for Sovereign Cloud, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and operation of Rivada Space Networks’ cloud infrastructure supporting our control functions and services. You will work closely with program and software development teams to ensure our cloud platforms deliver the performance, reliability, and agility required for customer QoS and business needs.
You will play a key role in engineering cloud‑based services, improving operational capabilities, and ensuring secure, high‑quality infrastructure delivery across our sovereign cloud environments.

- Contribute to the definition and execution of cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with businessobjectivesand industry best practices
- Engineer and delivercloud‑basedinfrastructure services, including design, implementation, deployment, security enforcement, and ongoing maintenance
- Support the coordination and handling of customer and internal business requests related to cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate closely withcross‑functionalteams to ensure smooth integration of cloud services with applications and operational systems
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of cloud infrastructure solutions and operations
- Participate in level‑3 operations for the cloud environment, including provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization tomaintainhigh availability and performance
What you bring on the table
- Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Significant experiencein IT infrastructure engineering with a strong focus on cloud technologies
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies across public, hybrid, and private environments, including IaaS, CaaS, PaaS, CI/CD, databases, observability, security, and Virtual Network Functions
- Excellentproblem‑solvingand collaboration skills
- Strong communicationand coordination abilities
- High sense of responsibility and commitment to deliveringhigh‑qualityservices
- Experience working with both waterfall and agile methodologies
- Familiarity with vendor and supplier interactions
- Understanding of IT service management processes
- Fluency in English

About us
Rivada Space Networks is deploying the Outernet: the first unified global communications network. Rivada's global low-latency point-to-point network of 600 low earth orbit (LEO) satellites is a unique next-generation constellation combining inter-satellite laser links with advanced onboard processing and routing to create a ubiquitous optical mesh network in space. This "orbital network," in which data stays in space from origin to destination, creates an ultra-secure satellite network with pole-to-pole coverage, offering end-to-end latencies much lower than terrestrial fiber over long distances. And by routing traffic on a physically separated network, it provides a layer of defense for any organization that needs to securely share data between widely distributed sites.
